(Some of) Orion's Ancestry

Orion shares his birthday, May 22nd, with his maternal great-grandfather, George Denison. (Thanks Matthew, for being the new Denison family historian, and passing that information on to me!) Though I never met George, he was married to Ivy, who I do remember as my wonderful great-grandmother on my mom's side. If we had had a girl, "Ivy" would have been her middle name, as it is mine. As it is, Orion's middle name is "Colie", a family name from Russell's father's side of the family.
Ivy's brother, known to me as Uncle Harry, has a daughter by the name of Diane. (That makes her first-cousin to my Great Aunt Winnie... and this family stuff can be complicated!) Diane found this great photo of George, Ivy, Harry, Winnie, and some unknown family friends and sent it to me, and here I'm sharing it with you!

Maybe you could tag the folks in the picture.
Can you do that to a picture on a blog?

Much love and hugs.

I hope all is well and that Orion is feeding better

This is verbatim from Diane's letter explaining who's who:
"There is writing on the back of the photo to identify everyone but I have no idea who Anita is nor the child on the left. However, next to Anita is Lillie, a first cousin to Ivy and my father. Their father and her mother were brother and sister. Next to Lillie is my mother and my father (Uncle Harry to all the family). Next to my father is Ivy and finally George Denison. He was a very nice man and a wonderful piano player... In front of my mother is Winnie who was a very special little girl. Everyone loved her. I thought since you where "into" family that you would enjoy having this photo."
So remember, Diane is first-cousins with my Great Aunt Winnie, who is my grandfather's sister. You can figure out the links in the lineage for yourselves!
